Arran is a screenwriter with over ten years of experience in television development and production.

In 2025, Arran graduated from the Channel 4 New Writers’ Scheme, where he was mentored by Brian Minchin of Hartswood Films and developed his original series SWEAT SHOP BOY, a darkly satirical drama exploring fast fashion and modern slavery, which went on to feature on the prestigious BRIT LIST 2025.

He began his career as an intern at the BBC, spending five years working his way up to script editor, with credits across EASTENDERS, HOLBY CITY, DOCTORS and SILENT WITNESS, before moving into high-end series as a script editor on the first season of INDUSTRY (HBO/BBC) and MARY & GEORGE (Sky/Starz). He’s also served as Head of Development for actress Keeley Hawes and is currently a development producer at Hera Pictures, where he was most recently the story producer and co-producer on the BAFTA-nominated BBC series WHAT IT FEELS LIKE FOR A GIRL.

His current projects include a true crime family saga drawn from his own family history and a stage play inspired by his mother’s years as a Samaritans volunteer.
