Cerys Hughes

Cerys gained a high place on the BRIT LIST 2023 for her original TV pilot EASY and she was recently chosen to showcase her new tv show pilot HARD UP at the prestigious FEMALE PILOT SHOWCASE 2025 at the Leicester Square Theatre and was mentored by GEORGIA PRITCHETT in the process. Cerys Hughes was born in Peterborough, a city which currently holds the record of being voted the UK's Worst Town three years running and is home to Henry VIII's favourite cathedral (allegedly). She graduated from Warwick University with a first-class degree in English Literature and went on to work in book and newspaper publishing before going freelance as a copywriter and geriatric (by comparative modern standards) social media maven, writing creatively in her spare time. Her new original TV series pitch SCRUBBERS has just been acquired for development by Warp Films & Matriarch Productions the team by the huge hit show ADOLESCENCE. Her new rom com TV series GO LONG is in development with SUNBURNT PENGUIN and she has previously developed original TV ideas with Clerkenwell Films amongst other producers. currently lives in London.
