Joosje Duk

Joosje is a hugely talented and exciting writer and director from The Netherlands. Her first feature film, HAPPY ENDING,  was picked up by Netflix as a winner of their New Voices contest. Released globally in September 2023, the film made it to number 3 on the Global Top 10 list on Netflix in the first week of its release.The film has over 6.6 million views and has been in the Top 10 in 46 countries across the world.

Joosje has since gone on to co-direct both seasons MAXIMA, the Dutch drama series following the life of Queen Maxima, and her journey towards becoming royalty.

The series premiered at Canne Series 2024 and broke streaming records for Dutch streamer Videoland upon its release. The series was sold to over 25 countries and has been renewed for a second season.
