Kate London

Kate is the bestselling author of four books in her TOWER series, 3 series of which have been adapted and broadcast by ITV. Kate was an Exec Producer on the series and developed the show with showrunner and exec Patrick Harbinson. She is also currently acting as a story consultant on recently greenlit ITV crime thrillers series TWO BIRDS for Chapter One and she is also completing the first in her new COLOURS book series which will be published by Firefinch in 2026, as well as working on her first original TV pilot.

Kate is the daughter of an RAF sergeant and spent the first years of her life on an airforce base in Germany. She spent the rest of her childhood in Stoke on Trent, the setting for her latest crime series, which will be published by Firefinch in 2026.

Kate has a degree in history from Cambridge University. After working in theatre as an actor, writer and director she ran away from the circus to join the Metropolitan Police. She finished her service as a detective on the Met’s homicide command but in 2014 resigned to focus on her writing. In 2019 her story, “We Do Not Deal In Guilt or Blame” was runner up in Harper Bazaar’s 2019 short story competition.
