Laurence Tratalos

Laurence's scripts have landed him on the BBC Writersroom, The Series Mania Writers Campus, and a mentorship from Jon Petrie through the Channel 4 Screenwriting Course. He has been shortlisted for the BBC Studios Writers’ Academy and has written five shorts that have been selected for BAFTA and OSCAR qualifying festivals, one winning best postgraduate film at the Bolton Film Festival, and another being shortlisted for a Student Bafta. He has had television projects in development with Various Artists, Hat Trick, and Fudge Park, and in 2024 he wrote and produced his first feature film, MISPER, starring Samuel Blenkin and Emily Carey. He is now in pre-production on his second feature, ANCESTRY. Everything Laurence writes has comedy in it, reflecting his upbringing in the North, where humour is a necessity, even when dealing with tragedy.
