Maroesja Perizonius

Maroesja is a documentary director with a background in journalism and copywriting, and so works across the board. She has also worked as a documentary researcher, fundraiser, assistant-producer, producer and non-fiction writer. Her directorial debut came in 2004 with Child of the Commune ('52), a Dutch autobiographal documentary that was sceeened all over Europe. In 2024 she directed the BAFTA and Grierson nominated documentary Children of the Cult that aired on ITV.
