Nell Walker

NELL is a London-born screenwriter, author and musician. A graduate of Goldsmiths’ Creative and Life Writing MA and previously published author, she has been writing unprofessionally for as long as she can remember.

Walker's work tends towards themes of grief and obsession, desire and destruction, and the general chaos of being a human - usually placing an unruly or difficult female subject at its centre. Her writing is preoccupied with how people cope (often badly) or struggle to grapple with the idea of a fixed self, exploring what happens when we tread the line between narrative fiction and emotional truth, with a voice that balances raw dark humour and painful honesty.

Walker is currently developing her debut television series CRACKS, a (mostly) true account of her experiences with addiction, queerness and comedy.
